Reiji Miyajima Draws The Shiunji Family Children Collaboration Illustration with Rent-A-Girlfriend Main Characters
Manga artist Reiji Miyajima has drawn a special new collaboration illustration for The Shiunji Family Children and Rent-A-Girlfriend, which features the ten main heroines from both series.
The Shiunji Family Children premiered in Japan on April 8, 2025 for 12 total episodes, while Rent-A-Girlfriend’s upcoming fourth season is expected to air sometime in July 2025.
In addition, the full opening sequence for The Shiunji Family Children has also been released, featuring the main opening theme “Honey Lemon” by NACHERRY.
Ryoki Kamitsubo (Hidamari Sketch chief director, Softenni director, Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence Episode 3 and 7 storyboard artist and director) is directing The Shiunji Family Children, with Noboru Kimura (Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture) as series screenwriter and Miki Muto (OSHI NO KO Season 2 co-animation training director) as character designer and chief animation director. Doga Kobo is handling the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes:

The anime is based on the romantic comedy manga series by Miyajima, with Reiji Yukino as co-artist. The manga began serialization in Hakusensha’s Young Animal on February 25, 2022 and has released six tankobon volumes as of March 2025. Yen Press releases the manga in English for North America.
Crunchyroll is streaming The Shiunji Family Children anime worldwide, outside of Japan. It describes the main synopsis as:
The Shiunji family with their seven children reside in a mansion within Tokyo’s Setagaya ward. The eldest son, Arata, is tired of being pushed around by his five sisters and daydreams of a life without them. That is, until Arata’s father reveals a shocking truth — Arata isn’t biologically related to his sisters! The siblings’ relationships will be tested as they navigate life in this new light.
