Happy Birthday, Deacon Phillippe!

The only son of exes Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe just turned 17 years old and on Friday, he brought his famous parents back together for an intimate family gathering to celebrate his big milestone! Though the former Cruel Intentions co-stars separated back in 2007 after six years of marriage, it’s nice to see the pair’s kids — including 21-year-old daughter Ava — always remain a priority.

Reese kicked things off with a special Instagram tribute to her “deeply kind” son, writing:

The real fun went down later that night though, when the Big Little Lies star, her ex-husband, and a small group of people gathered outdoors to serenade and present Deacon with a birthday cake. Ryan made sure to capture it all on his Instagram Story for followers to see!
