#Record of Ragnarok Coming Worldwide June 2021 on Netflix

During Netflix’s AnimeJapan livestream event, it was announced that the Record of Ragnarok (Shūmatsu no Valkyrie) anime will stream worldwide exclusively on Netflix beginning June 2021. A new preview trailer was also revealed featuring the theme song “KAMIGAMI-神噛-” by MAXIMUM THE HORMONE. 

Graphinica is in charge of the animation production with Masao Okubo as director, Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (By the Grace of Gods, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) as series composer, Masaki Saito as character designer, and Yasuharu Takanashi (Naruto, Fairy Tail, Zombieland Saga) as music composer. 

The main cast includes Miyuki Sawashiro (Mordred in Fate/Apocrypha) as Brunhild, Tomoyo Kurosawa (Ordinary Person in Akudama Drive, Saya in Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina) as Geir, Tomokazu Seki (Gilgamesh in Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works) as Lu Bu, Hikaru Midorikawa (Gridman in SSSS.Gridman) as Thor, and Wataru Takagi (Eikichi Onizuka in GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka) as Zeus. Additional cast members were announced in March 2021. 

The manga is written by Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui and illustrated by Ajichika. It started serialization in January 2018 in the Monthly Comic Zenon magazine by COAMIX.
