Story & content (7/10)

Man-eating demons are up to mischief in the nearby forest. The local residents no longer dare to go out at night. Legend has it that one day a demon slayer will come to hunt and kill these bloodthirsty demons. This will soon become a reality for the young Tanjirou, because since the death of his father he has made it his business to look after his family. Tanjirou’s life changes completely when his entire family is butchered. His sister Nezuko survived, but she has turned into a demon. Tanjirou’s fight against evil begins and for the life of his sister Nezuko.

Personaly thinking:

In the last few episodes of the third volume, I was unfortunately a bit bored. The series didn’t convince me after a few episodes. The fights remain exciting but the conversations often drag on longer. That’s why I was looking forward to the fourth volume. I was curious to see if the last few episodes would get everything out again. And I was not disappointed. The last episodes of the series / season? testify to a true masterpiece that will convince many fans. This is of course also proven by the movie “Mugen Train”. The “Demon Slayer” franchise will establish itself among the fans and as a well-known brand will join the big players. I can recommend the anime to anyone who likes to be entertained by a funny and exciting story. I also really liked the traditional setting in Japan.

Animations & Drawing Style (10/10)

The anime was made in the animation studio ufotable produced. Haruto Sotozaki took a seat in the director’s chair. What to say You already know the typical animations of the studio from other anime such as «Fate/Zero» or «God Eater». The animations of the anime are mainly characterized by the visually powerful and colorful scenes. The colorful scenes and fights are highlighted, especially in the The drawing style I like a lot. What I personally don’t like so much are the often large eyes without a clear pupil. This is what I just don’t like, but it doesn’t detract from the anime. Otherwise the characters Wirkloch are very nicely designed and staged with great attention to detail.

Musik & Soundtrack (10/10)

The opening and ending remain the same for the second volume. The Opening “Gurenge” by LiSA heralds each episode for the viewer. Unfortunately, the ending song hasn’t stayed in my mind yet. The rocking sound of the opening stuck in my head, but that’s not unusual for this artist either. I really liked the mixture of calm, classic sounds and the rocking part. There hasn’t been an openining in recent times that has carried me away like this one. I love this song.

Opening: “Gurenge” from LiSA

Ending: “From the Edge” von FictionJunction feat. LiSA

German dubbing (10/10)

When it comes to synchronization, I can only repeat what I highlighted positively in the last few reviews. The synchronization of the series really has a very high quality German synchronization. I think all voices match their respective voices and were chosen with great care.

Character Voice actor
Tanjirou Kamado Constantin von Jascheroff
Nezuko Kamado Julia Meynen
Zen’itsu Agatsuma Dirk Petrick

Packaging & Extras (5/10)

On the last volume Tanjiro is shown again. I really like this design. The cover is really very colorful and depicts Tanjiro with all his abilities. This shows again the good and bad side of our main characters. Finally, I would like to say that really care was taken in designing the individual volumes and designs were chosen that do justice to the animation of the anime. No haptic extras were included with this volume either. Unfortunately, this is also noticeable in the number of points. With a brand like “Demon Slayer” I would have liked a few nice extras. And I think I’m not just speaking for myself.

Conclusion
