The RadTrike gives riders a safe and stable ride.

Following some teaser images last week, Seattle-based electric bike maker Rad Power Bikes just announced its latest offering, a 3-wheeled electric trike. The all-new RadTrike aims to bring mobility to more riders.

There are plenty of electric bikes, skateboards, and scooters on the market, but there aren’t many trike options when it comes to mobility. Thankfully, Rad Power Bikes aims to solve that with this 3-wheeled machine.

With a steel frame, plenty of lights for visibility, and a 415 lb. weight capacity, the trike is perfect for work, play, commuting, and more. Riders will get the convenience of an e-bike with the stability of a lightweight electric vehicle. In fact, Rad Power Bikes calls it a vehicle as much as it does a bike and has several accessories to outfit the trike any way you see fit. It’s a bike for anyone and everyone.

The new RadTrike has a handful of useful features, including fold-down handlebars for transportation, reverse mode, and 5-level pedal assist, along with a throttle for pedal-free riding. The company built it just big enough to still fit between doorways.

Like many other bikes from the expansive Rad Power lineup, we’re getting a capable 750w front hub motor, up to 55+ miles of range on a single charge, a slew of safety features, cargo options, and more. Buyers can appreciate its step-thru design and a new upright seat position with a backrest built into the seat.

Interestingly, the RadTrike has a rear coaster brake set (where you pedal backward like on a childhood bike) and mechanical disc brakes up front. Furthermore, it even comes with a parking brake for greater peace of mind.

Compared to other Rad bikes, the all-new RadTrike is a bit expensive, coming in at $2,499, but it’s still more affordable than most electric trikes on the market. Like everything else from the brand, buyers can add accessories like a front or rear cargo rack, a trailer carrier for kids or pets, a windscreen, and eventually a roof option to keep riders out of the elements and rainy weather.

The new Rad Power Bikes RadTrike is available now for pre-order and starts shipping in mid-January.
