#Queens man dies in NYC house fire

A man died in a Queens house fire on Wednesday night, police said.

The victim, believed to be in his 50s, was declared dead on scene after flames tore through a two-story home at 257-54 148 Ave. in Rosedale, according to authorities.

The fire started on the second-floor at about 11:50 p.m. and was under control less than an hour later, the FDNY said.

No other injuries were reported from the blaze, the cause of which was not immediately known.
