The upcoming Gridman Universe anime will make its debut in Japan in 2023. A promotional image featuring SSSS.Gridman protagonist Yuta Hibiki has been released.

The returning SSSS.Gridman and SSSS.Dynazenon cast includes Hikaru Midorikawa as Gridman, Yuuya Hirose as Yuta, Yume Miyamoto as Rikka Takarada, Soma Saito as Sho Utsumi, Junya Enoki as Yomogi Asanaka, Shion Wakayama as Yume Minami, Yuuichirou Umehara as Koyomi Yamanaka, and Chika Anzai as Chise Asukagawa.

The existence of a SSSS.Gridman and SSSS.Dynazenon crossover was first revealed in June 2021 after the end of SSSS.Dynazenon. In December 2021, it was revealed that the project will take the form of a movie with the tentative title of Gridman x Dynazenon Kanzen Shinsaku Gekijouban (Completely New Theatrical Production).

Gridman Universe‘s staff includes Akira Amemiya as director, Keiichi Hasegawa as scriptwriter, Masaru Sakamoto as character designer, and Shirou Sagisu as music composer. All four previously fulfilled the same roles for the preceding two series. TRIGGER is the animation production studio.

SSSS.Dynazenon aired during the Spring 2021 season, while SSSS.Gridman aired during the Fall 2018 season. The shows are inspired by Tsuburaya Productions’s 1993 Gridman: The Hyper Agent tokusatsu series.
