#Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter Reveals Teaser Visual, Cast, Staff
The Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter anime adaptation has received a teaser visual. Its staff and main cast were also revealed.
Nobuyoshi Nagayama (Love Flops, Ayaka, Vampire Dormitory) is directing the anime at Studio Blanc. with Kazuya Ishiguri (Vampire Dormitory) as assistant director, Megumi Shimizu (Tomo-chan Is a Girl!) as series composer, Akiko Yokota (Girlfriend, Girlfriend) as character designer, and Sayaka Takemoto (Beyblade X sub-character designer) as sub-character designer.
The main cast includes Yuto Uemura as Allen, Hime Sawada as Tina Howard, Kyoka Moriya as Eine Walker, and Ikumi Hasegawa as Lydia Lemstar.
Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter will begin its broadcast in 2025. The anime is based on the fantasy series by Riku Nanano, originally a Kakuyomu web novel that debuted in 2017 before becoming a light novel series published under KADOKAWA’s Fantasia Bunko label. J-Novel Club describes the books’ premise as:
After failing the final exam for his dream job at the royal court, promising young sorcerer Allen wants nothing more than to retreat to a simple life in the countryside. Unfortunately for him, he can’t even afford the train fare! His only solution is to get a job, but his one lead is anything but modest—Duke Howard, one of the kingdom’s most powerful nobles, needs a private tutor for his daughter Tina. Despite her academic brilliance, Tina is incapable of casting even a single spell. To make matters worse, entrance exams for the prestigious Royal Academy are fast approaching, and magical aptitude is mandatory! Can Allen use his unique brand of spellcasting to help Tina overcome her magical impairment, a mystery that not even the kingdom’s finest sorcerers have been able to solve? And does her father, the duke, even want him to?
The first volume of the light novels, which are illustrated by cura, was released in 2018. Volume 18 will be released on January 18, 2025 JST. There is a manga adaptation by Tamura Muto.
