This February 27, Post Malone will perform a virtual concert as part of Pokémon Day, an online event celebrating the 25th anniversary of the animated Japanese fantasy creature slavery franchise. Watch a trailer above, and let’s pray that we’ll see an animated Post rapping “I got me some braids and I got me some hoes” while surrounded by Psyducks.
The show will stream for free at 7PM on the Pokémon YouTube channel, Twitch page, and official website. “I’ve been a Pokémon fan for a long time, so the opportunity to headline the Pokémon Day concert celebrating 25 years is awesome,” Post Malone said in a press statement.
Post Malone’s concert is part of the ongoing P25 Music program, a year-long celebration of Pokémon created in conjunction with Universal Music Group. Katy Perry was announced as the first artist for the event last month, and a press release promises “more music surprises” to come.
