A Portland protester scrawled the word “FEDS” on the ground in his own blood after being shot in the face with a projectile, according to a new report.

Camillo Massagli used the blood from his cut cheek to smear the message onto the pavement — then played the trumpet with his blood-soaked hands in front of federal agents as they stood guard in the city, the UK’s Sun reported.

Massagli — part of protests that have rocked the streets of Portland for more than 50 consecutive days in wake of George Floyd’s death — was hit in the face with an unknown projectile, the Sun said.

His injury came sometime during the riots Sunday night into early Monday morning, which culminated in the arrest of two people in connection with a shooting near the protests. Police later found a bag containing loaded rifle magazines and at least two Molotov cocktails.

It’s unclear if the object that struck Massagli was fired by the federal agents, who were deployed last week to the city by President Trump and have been violently clashing with protesters since.
