Boasting 19 tracks, Pop’s inaugural studio effort featured Lil Baby, DaBaby, Future, Roddy Ricch, 50 Cent, Quavo and Swae Lee, among others. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling over 251,000 total album-equivalent units in its opening week.
But the Brooklyn rapper didn’t get to witness its success. The 20-year-old artist was shot and killed during an home invasion in February 2020, obviously bringing an abrupt and tragic end to not only his burgeoning career but also his young life.
Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon and its deluxe edition won’t be the last time fans hear from Pop Smoke. In a recent interview with REVOLT’s Drink Champ series, DMX confirmed a posthumous verse from Pop would be included on his long-awaited comeback album alongside Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine, Benny The Butcher, Lil Wayne, The LOX, Snoop Dogg, Alicia Keys and U2’s Bono.
The late artist is also making his posthumous film debut in the movie BOOGIE, which arrives on Friday (March 5).
