Four firebugs are wanted for lighting a marked NYPD vehicle ablaze in Manhattan, police sources said Thursday.
The group set the NYPD vehicle on fire at around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday at the corner of East 12th St. and University Place in Greenwich Village.
The vehicle sustained substantial damage and was entirely consumed by the blaze, the sources said.
The NYPD Arson and Explosion Squad was attempting to identify suspects caught on surveillance video.
