#Pokémon 'GOTCHA!' Anime Music Video Catches Over 10 Million Views

 

Premiering last week was the latest Pokémon music video, set to the song 'Arcadia' by BUMP OF CHICKEN and directed by Rie Matsumoto (Kyousougiga) at anime studio BONES. Since its release on September 29, the video has amassed over 10 million views, not a Joltik sized amount!

While the amount of views isn't record-breaking, it shows that when care and love is given to the Pokémon franchise, the fans will Lapras it up! Direction and storyboards for the music video were from Rie Matsumoto (Kyousougiga) with character designs and animation direction from Yuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia), at Bones. Producing the music video was Genki Kawamura (Your Name) and Masami Hatanaka (Shogakukan's Sho-Comi magazine editor-in-chief). The team behind 'Gotcha!' previously created the animated Lotte commercial, which also featured a song from BUMP OF CHICKEN
