“#Pichi Pichi Pitch & Shugo Chara! Manga Artists Celebrate Ojamajo Doremi 20th Anniversary Film with Special Illustrations”
The official website for the 20th-anniversary film for Toei Animation's Ojamajo Doremi series, Majo Minarai wo Sagashite (Looking for Witch Apprentices) / Looking for Magical Doremi, has posted two special collaboration illustrations drawn by Pink Hanamori (Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch illustrator) and Peach-Pit (Shugo Chara!) to celebrate its upcoming release.
Along with the comicalization of Ojamajo Doremi, Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch and Shugo Chara! were serialized in Kodansha's Nakayoshi shoujo manga magazine from the early to mid-2000s. And their popularity among the Ojamajo Doremi generation girls in their 20s now has been very high.
Pink Hanamori's illustration features Lucia Nanami, the protagonist of Pichi Pichi Pitch, Doremi, and the three main heroines of the film. She says, "Friendships that connect you with the things you love even as you grow up. Magic is always with you…, this film makes me feel that way… I'm looking forward to it!!!"
Meanwhile, Peach-Pit drew Amu Hinamori, the protagonist of Shugo Chara! and Doremi. The duo unit says, "We are really looking forward to seeing the new story spun by my favorite Doremi-chan and the Ojamajo Doremi generation girls in the present day of Reiwa!!"
