#Phillies vs. Marlins line, prediction: Count on Sandy Alcantara

The Philadelphia Phillies have been a different team home to road this season. They are a solid 15-10 in South Philly and were 8-14 on the road entering their series against the Miami Marlins, and will look to Vince Velasquez for a good start on Tuesday.

The Phillies have used Velasquez both as a starter and reliever and in nine total appearances. He is 1-0 with a 3.52 ERA, but has career worsts with 5.6 walks and 2.1 home runs given up per nine innings.

Miami starter Sandy Alcantara has been terrific against the Phillies, posting a 5-1 record in seven career starts with a 2.44 ERA and is 0.6 home runs allowed per nine innings.

When these teams last met, in Philadelphia, the Marlins took two of three while holding the Phillies to one run in the final two games. And they won’t have to worry about facing their ex-catcher J.T. Realmuto, who is on the 10-day IL.

With Velasquez owning a lifetime 0-4 record and 6.49 ERA in eight starts in Miami and the Phillies’ ERA being more than a full point higher on the road, Alcantara and the Marlins should prevail.

The Play: Marlins, -125.
