The two global pop stars find the middle ground on the reggaeton-inspired track.
Peso Pluma and Anitta have shared a new single called “BELLAKEO.” The reggaeton-inspired pop song finds a middle ground between Pluma’s corridos tumbados and Anitta’s baile-funk crossovers.
The track’s title, which translates from Spanish to “flirt,” prefaces a hedonistic jam about debauched nights at the club. “Todo mundo quiere acercarse a mí / Pero yo no quiero a nadie” (“Everyone wants to get close to me / But I don’t want anyone”), Anitta brags in her first verse, with Pluma backing her up as the chorus approaches: “Y no requiere el aval de nadie” (“She doesn’t need anyone’s approval”).
“BELLAKEO” follows strong years from both artists, with Pluma releasing his third studio album, GÉNESIS, in June and Anitta dropping the three-track bundle Favella Generation: A Love Story.
