#Fate/Grand Carnival OVA Announced For 2021 With Two Seasons

2021 will see the release of Fate/Grand Carnival, an OVA with two seasons. The first season will air on June 2, while the second season will air on August 25.

A key visual and brief promotional video for the OVA were also released. The video is region-locked on YouTube but can be viewed on the OVA’s Twitter page.

Fate/Grand Carnival’s staff includes Seiji Kishi (Radiant, Asobi Asobase, Kengan Ashura, Carnival Phantasm) as director, Makoto Uezu (Radiant, Kengan Ashura, Carnival Phantasm) as series composer, and Kazuaki Morita (Kengan Ashura, Carnival Phantasm) and Tomohito Hirose (Radiant monster designer and Astra Lost in Space space creature designer) as both character designers and chief animation directors. 

Other staff include Tomoyuki Kunii (Scum’s Wish) as photography director, Mio Takekawa (Radiant) as color designer, Ayumi Miyakoshi (Assassination Classroom Season 2) as art director, and Yasuhara Takanashi (Talentless Nana) and Keita Haga (Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia) as music composers. Lerche is in charge of animation production. 

The ensemble cast of Fate/Grand Carnival includes Akira Sekine as Ritsuka Fujimura, Rie Takahashi as Mash Kyrielight, Maaya Sakamoto as Leonardo da Vinci, Sakura Tange as Nero Claudius, Nobutoshi Kanna as the Lancer, Caster, and Alter versions of Cú Chulainn, Kazuya Nakai as Cú Chulainn (Prototype), Hikaru Midorikawa as Red Hare (Rider), Makoto Furukawa as Achilles, Saori Hayami as Atalanta and Mysterious Alter Ego Lambda, and Miyuki Sawashiro as Artemis. 

Other cast members include Kana Ueda as Ishtar, Ayane Sakura as Queen Medb, Ayako Kawasumi as Artoria Pendragon and Mysterious Cat X, Chiwa Saitou as Chevalier d’Éon, Takahiro Mizushiwa as Gawain, Atsuko Tanaka as Carmilla and Mysterious Cat Y, Minami Tanaka as Nitocris, Ryoutarou Okiayu as Lancelot, Kouki Uchiyama as Tristan, Rumi Ookubo as Elizabeth Báthory, Ai Nonaka as Mysterious Cat W, and Jouji Nakata as Mysterious Cat V and the Narrator. 

Prior to its full reveal, Fate/Grand Carnival was teased as Fate/Grand Order Completely New Short Anime. Teaser visuals were released on December 2 and December 24 respectively.
