A young parolee was busted in connection to a fatal shooting in Brooklyn two months ago, police said Thursday.

Marcus Worrell, 24, was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon in connection to the shooting on June 5 in East New York, according to police.

The arrest comes as the city sees a surge in shootings and police struggle to curb the gunplay.  Last week was the first time since the anti-crime unit was disbanded in mid-June that firearm arrests had only a single-digit decrease compared to last year, according to NYPD data.

Worrell is accused of fatally shooting 28-year-old Evan Hillman in the head and wounding a 40-year-old man with two shots to the stomach, cops said.

The convicted felon had been let out from state prison on Jan. 9 after serving just over a year on his third-degree robbery conviction, records show.

That was Worrell’s second stint in prison after servicing two years for first-degree assault before being released in July 2017, according to state prison records.

Cops had picked up the convicted felon twice in the months prior over domestic incidents in Brooklyn before allegedly killing Hillman.

On March 29, the felon allegedly broke into his brother’s house and beat up his sibling, according to police and court records.

In another incident, Worrell returned home on the night of April 23 and slashed his wife on the face during an argument, according to officials.

In both cases, which remain pending, Worrell was let go on his own recognizance and ordered to stay away from the family members, court records show.
