A parking deck in Atlanta partially collapsed Friday, injuring five workers, fire officials said.

Firefighters responded to the parking deck near West Peachtree Street and Linden Avenue in the city’s Midtown section after it partially collapsed at about 11:40 a.m. Friday, fire officials at the scene told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

It’s unclear what caused the incident, but the workers were hurt when the pre-fabricated structure’s 11th floor collapsed onto its 10th, fire officials said.

One injured worker was pulled off the structure by firefighters using a crane, department officials said in a tweet.

Four others were able to get down on their own, the Journal-Constitution reports.

The worker who was rescued by crane was trapped under rubble and freed in about 10 minutes. He had injuries primarily to his legs, Atlanta Fire Rescue Deputy Chief Glen Riley told WSB-TV.

The condition of the four other workers, who were taken to area hospitals, was not immediately clear. One firefighter, meanwhile, was hospitalized for apparent heat stroke, WSB-TV reports.

Atlanta police then shut down several nearby streets until the remainder of the parking deck can be inspected to ensure it won’t come down entirely, the Journal-Constitution reports.

“Right now, there’s no danger because we don’t see the whole wall collapse coming,” a fire official told reporters at the scene. “But you never can tell what will happen, so we’re not taking any chances.”
