#Akira Ishida Joins the Cast of Mo Dao Zu Shi Donghua Series

The Japanese broadcast of Chinese donghua series Mo Dao Zu Shi is getting ready to continue, with the second season lined up for an April 25 premiere. With it comes news that Akira Ishida (Zeref in Fairy Tail) is joining the cast as Jin Guangyo, half-brother of Jin Zixuan and uncle to Jin Ling. 

To go along with the news, the official ANIPLEX YouTube channel shared Japanese versions of key visual, as well as the opening and ending movies featuring themes by CIVILIAN and Aimer, respectively.

First aired in China in 2018, Mo Dao Zu Shi is based on the novel of the same name, and has run for two seasons so far. A third season has been teased, and a chibi season aired from July 2020 to January 2021.
