#Oshiete Hokusai! The Animation Short Anime Gets Trailer

Oshiete Hokusai! The Animation, a “dream-granting intellectual entertainment anime,” has received a trailer. The short anime (each episode will be ten minutes long) is set to premiere on March 8.

Oshiete Hokusai! The Animation‘s staff includes Naoto Iwakiri as director and original creator, Hayato Morohashi (Yo ni mo Kimyou na Monogatari Natsu no Tokubetsu Hen TV drama script writer) as series composer, Natsu Hashimoto (Ossan no Cafe live action movie) as script writer, and illustrator Yuusuke Itou as character designer and animator. Freelance filmmaker Norihisa Nakama is handling the photography. CoMix Wave is in charge of the animation production.

The anime’s cast includes Azumi Waki as Tenkorin Okakura, Katsuyuki Konishi as Raijin, and Yuuki Wakai as Kanon Kano. The guest cast includes KENN as Kurin Ogata, Hidenori Takahashi as Yuichi Takahashu, Daisuke Hirakawa as Eitoku Kano, Yu Hayashi as Kuniyoshi Utagawa, Daisuke Ono as Ryusei Kishida, Ryoko Shiraishi as Shoen Uemura, and Ayumu Murase as Seiki Kuroda.

Based on the manga by Iwakiri, Oshiete Hokusai! The Animation follows a hopeless high school girl who matures with the help of lessons from historical Japanese artists like Ogata Kourin and Kanō Eitoku.
