#OSHI NO KO Light Novel About Kana and Akane To Release in December
The Jump j Books editorial department’s X (formerly Twitter) account has revealed the upcoming release of OSHI NO KO ~Futari no Etude~, a new OSHI NO KO light novel that will reveal more about heroines Kana Arima and Akane Kurosawa.
OSHI NO KO ~Futari no Etude~ will be released on December 18 JST, meaning that it will share the release date of the manga’s 16th and final volume. The book is authored by Hajime Tanaka, who also wrote last year’s Ai Hoshino-focused OSHI NO KO ~Ichibanboshi no Spica~.
Also like ~Ichibanboshi no Spica~, OSHI NO KO author Aka Akasaka is supervising the new tale.
More details about the light novel will be revealed later. The cover design is still unknown.
The original OSHI NO KO manga, which is drawn by Mengo Yokoyari, began serialization in Weekly Young Jump in 2020 and will end on November 14 JST. It has inspired a Doga Kobo-produced TV anime (which has a third season on the way), a live-action drama and movie, and a novelization.
Yen Press describes the manga as:
Gorou is a gynecologist and idol fan who’s in shock after his favorite star, Ai, announces an impromptu hiatus. Little does Gorou realize that he’s about to forge a bond with her that defies all common sense! Lies are an idol’s greatest weapon in this outrageous manga from Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and Mengo Yokoyari (Scum’s Wish).
