#Orthodontist stabs ex-fiancée’s girlfriend then pretends to be good samaritan: cops

A Connecticut orthodontist stabbed her ex-fiancée’s girlfriend in the neck in Westchester County — and then claimed she was a good Samaritan when the cops showed up, according to police.

Alika Crew, 41, who works out of a high-end Stamford dental office, allegedly hid in the back of the victim’s SUV on Tuesday morning and jumped up and stabbed her while she was driving on Hillandale Drive in New Rochelle.

“Upon arrival, officers located a 30-year-old female victim with a deep puncture wound to the left side of her neck,” New Rochelle Capt. Cosmo Costa said in a press release. “Also located at the scene was Alika Crew aged 41 of this city who was rendering medical aid to the victim and claimed to be a Good Samaritan.”

“The victim advised officers that the female rendering aid was in fact her assailant and that she had been stabbed,” the release said. “It was also determined that the suspect’s ex-fiancée is the current boyfriend of the victim.”

Crew was charged with attempted murder, and ordered held on $250,000 bail by New Rochelle City Court Judge Anthony Carbone, the Westchester District Attorney’s Office said in a release. She was being held at the County Jail, records show.

Crew has a bachelor’s degree from Brown University and a dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania, according to the website of the Stein Dental Group in Stamford, where she is listed as a staff orthodontist.

A woman answering the phone at the dental office declined to comment Wednesday.
