“#Original Web Anime Project Featuring Aimer’s Songs, Night World is Launched”
Yoru no Kuni / Night World, a Ryotimo (Ryosuke Sawa)-directed original web aime project featuring songs by Aimer, has been launched. Its first episode “A Guide at 22:00” will be streamed on Aimer’s official YouTube channel at 23:00 (JST) / 07:00 (PST) on April 16, 2021. Aimer privides the first episode’s theme song, “Trill.”
Introduction:
Welcome to the Night World. You can’t stop thinking about anxious, scary, and sad things in the dark hours. You can’t sleep, and you’re getting more and more tormented by something. It’s okay. The reason you can’t sleep is because you’re trying to find something. And the night must be the time that you can find something. Let’s take a break tonight. It’s a dark place, but please enjoy your stay. Here, the night is coming to an end.
Ryotimo is best known as the character designer/director of the OVA/TV anime series Yozakura Quartet, while Aimer has provided theme songs for various anime series, including BLEACH, Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works], Fire Force, and many more. A Tokyo-based digital animation company studio daisy works on anime production.
Junichi Suwabe (Keigo Atobe in The Prince of Tennis) voices Yoru, a resident of the Night World who is tall and has the appearance of a large bird. He is a gentleman with a soft demeanor, and gently stands next to people who wander into the Night World. Meanwhile, Misaki Kuno (Hawk in The Seven Deadly Sins) is cast as Chiya, the protagonist of the first episode. She has few facial expressions, and is always holding a stuffed animal with memories of her beloved dog Choco.
