I’m Living with an Otaku NEET Kunoichi!? Teases New Villains in New 2nd Cour Trailer

A new trailer has been released for the ongoing second cour of I’m Living with an Otaku NEET Kunoichi!? TV anime series. The anime first premiered in Japan on January 4, 2025, with the second cour set to debut on April 5, 2025. The series will have 24 total episodes.  

The latest trailer for the second cour highlights the villainous demons Killa Wenthol and Crena Wenthol. It also previews the new ending theme song “Darashinai Everyday,” performed by the main voice cast.

In Japan, 12 total episodes have been released so far. Outside of the country, HIDIVE has streamed all 24 episodes as 12 double episodes because international streaming is ahead of the standard Japanese standard TV and streaming release. The streaming service will also stream the two OVAs on March 29, 2025. 

Hisashi Saito (Kuroitsu-san from the Monster Development Department) is directing the anime series, with Takashi Aoshima (The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You) as series screenwriter, Masahiko Suzuki (Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs) as character designer, and CMJK as music composer. Quad is handling the animation production.

The anime is based on the romantic comedy web manga series, written and illustrated by Kotatsu, with Yakitomato credited with the storyboarding. It initially started as a self-published web manga on Twitter on January 25, 2020, with the Japanese title NEET Kunoichi to Nazeka Dousei Hajimemashita. 

The series was later re-published in Niconico Seiga’s No 9. Comic on February 22, 2024. Eleven digital volumes have been released by Kadokawa under its Dengeki Comics EX label as of November 2024. Four print tankobon volumes have also been released by ASCII Media Works as of December 2024.

HIDIVE describes the main synopsis of I’m Living with an Otaku NEET Kunoichi!? as: 

In order to protect an ordinary businessman, Tsukasa Atsumi, from demons, a genius kunoichi, Shizuri Ideura, signs a master-servant contract with him on the condition that she stays with him. Despite her cool appearance of defeating demons, Shizuri is an otaku NEET who spends all her time playing video games. While Shizuri is spoiled by Tsukasa and leads a lazy cohabitation life, the quirky Kunoichi gather together… A romantic comedy about living together with a genius Kunoichi who is an otaku and a NEET!
