#Omnia Trailer Reveals Artifactor and Maestra

Phantom Breaker: Omnia, the upcoming new entry in the Phantom Breaker 2D fighting game series, has received a character reveal trailer that highlights Artifactor and Maestra, two new characters that were made “specifically” for the game.

Artifactor, voiced by Yui Nakajima/Cassandra Lee Morris, is described by publisher Rocket Panda Games as a “capricious cosmic architect from a god-like race of beings known as Reverants. One of the original creators of the universe, the so-called Fu-menison Artifacts  mystical weapons of great strength  were tools of her design used to construct reality as we know it. She is currently the only known Reverant left in existence.”

As for Maestra (Mai Sato/Xanthe Huynh), the Rocket Panda Games English Twitter account calls her the “living embodiment” of Phantom Breaker protagonist Mikoto’s sword. The website post says, “Though naive and a bit clumsy outside of battle, she bravely fights in Mikotos stead and loves her mistress dearly. Ever protective, she stays close to Mikotos side at all times.”

Phantom Breaker: Omnia is set to be released on March 15 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. The game’s Steam page describes it as a “massive update” to 2013’s Phantom Breaker: Extra and the first in the series to have English voices. It will feature a total roster of 22 characters, which includes “all the characters and guest characters” from Phantom Breaker: Extra. The guest characters are Steins;Gate‘s Kurisu Makise and Chaos;Head‘s Rimi Sakihata.

Phantom Breaker: Omnia will include the stories from Phantom Breaker: Extra and the first Phantom Breaker from 2011, and will offer both remixed and original versions of the background music. Gameplay-wise, it will allow players to pick between Quick, Hard, and Omnia fighting styles, with each having its own traits and advantages.

Steam describes the story as:

A mysterious man, known only as ‘Phantom’ appeared in Tokyo—the capital city of Japan—and manipulated vulnerable adolescents into fighting each other, bestowing upon them mystical weapons of great strength known as ‘Fu-mension Artifacts.’ In exchange, he promised to grant their wish if they survive.

Unbeknownst to the combatants, the fierce clashes between Fu-mension Artifacts caused distortions in space-time, which compromised the boundaries between parallel universes. The collapse of these parallel universes would ultimately break the seal, unleashing Phantom’s destructive powers.
