#Assassination Classroom and Classroom of The Elite to be Available on Muse Asia

Muse Asia revealed that it will provide daily uploads of Assassination Classroom and Classroom of the Elite onto the Muse Asia YouTube channel for South and Southeast Asian audiences. Assassination Classroom is slated to start from June 30 at 9:00 PM (GMT+8), while Classroom of the Elite is planned for the 8:00 PM (GMT+8) slot on the same day.

Assassination Classroom first aired on January 2015, with its second season premiering on January 2016. Both seasons were directed at Lerche under Seiji Kishi as director, Makoto Uezu as series composer, Kazuaki Morita as character designer, Keiko Kurosawa and Kōji Yamagata as chief animation directors, and Naoki Satō as music composer. The cast features Jun Fukuyama as Koro-sensei, Mai Fuchigami as Nagisa Shiota, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Karma Akabane, and Aya Suzaki as Kaede Kayano.

The sequel film titled Ansatsu Kyōshitsu: 365-Nichi no Jikan (translated as Assassination Classroom the Movie: 365 Days’ Time) screened in November 2016. The original manga by Yusei Matsui also inspired two live-action adaptations. A spin-off manga by Jō Aoto and Kizuku Watanabe titled “Koro-sensei Q! (Koro Teacher Quest!)” also inspired an anime short and a net anime.

Muse Asia describes the series as:

A mysterious creature with the enormous power to disintegrate 70% of the moon suddenly appears and declares that he will destroy Earth by March of next year.

But until that time, for some reason the creature says that he will teach class 3-E (where misfit students end up) of Kunugigaoka Junior High School in Japan.

This creature possesses incredible powers that even the army can’t overcome, and leaders around the world are left with no choice but to leave it up to Class E of Kunugigaoka Junior High School to defeat the creature.

Class E’s assignment is to assassinate the mysterious creature = “Koro Sensei” (“korosenai”; cannot kill “Sensei”; teacher) and save the world from complete destruction! And they have to do it before they graduate!!

Despite these unusual circumstances, the students do their best to stay positive and grow and learn.

Originally written by Syougo Kinugasa and illustrated by Shunsaku Tomose, the TV adaptation of the light novel series Classroom of the Elite first premiered on July 2017. Seiji Kishi and Hiroyuki Hashimoto directed the anime at Lerche, with Aoi Akashiro as series composer, Kazuaki Morita as character designer, and Ryō Takahashi as music composer. The cast includes Akari Kitō as Suzune Horikita, Shōya Chiba as Kiyotaka Ayanokōji, and Yurika Kubo as Kikyō Kushida. The light novel series first appeared in Kadokawa’s Media Factory Bunko J imprint in May 2015.

Muse Asia described the series as:

On the surface, Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School is a utopia. The students enjoy an unparalleled amount of freedom, and it is ranked highly in Japan. However, the reality is less than ideal. Four classes, A through D, are ranked in order of their proficiency, and only the top classes receive favorable treatment.

Kiyotaka Ayanokoji is a student of Class D, where the school dumps its worst. There he meets the unsociable Suzune Horikita, who believes she was placed in Class D by mistake and desires to climb all the way to Class A, and the seemingly amicable class idol Kikyo Kushida, whose aim is to make as many friends as possible.

While class membership is permanent, class rankings are not; students in lower ranked classes can rise in rankings if they score better than those in the top ones. Additionally, in Class D, there are no bars on what methods can be used to get ahead. In this cutthroat school, can they prevail against the odds and reach the top?
