A group of prominent Republicans – including former White House staffer Anthony Scaramucci – are launching a super PAC to identify GOP voters who have cooled to President Trump and convince them to cast their ballot for Joe Biden, according to a report on Wednesday.

The “Right Side PAC,” composed of former officials from the Trump and George W. Bush administrations, will initially focus on Republicans in the battleground states of Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Arizona, North Carolina and Florida, Axios reported.

They will then use digital, mail and telephone to reach the voters and encourage absentee voting.

Dozens of operatives from Bush’s and the late Sen. John McCain’s presidential campaigns plan to lay out Biden’s record on free trade, states’ rights, federal spending and respect for US diplomacy and military alliances to make the case for electing the former vice president over Trump in November.

They will also highlight Biden’s Catholic faith.

Scaramucci, who served as the White House communications director for 10 days before being fired in 2017, is among the group’s major donors.

He said he’s “very confident that we can convince a large group of Republican voters that Biden is the right person to vote for if they want to stay true to their principles and to the legacy of the Republican Party.”

Scaramucci, a Wall Street hedge funder, warned that re-electing Trump “may set up the Republican Party to be a minority party for a generation.”

Matt Borges, the group’s founder and the former chairman of the Ohio Republican Party, said it’s time to “reset things.”

“And the first way to do that is cut out the cancer and start rebuilding,” he said.

“We’re not trying to become Democrats,” Borges said. “I intend to vote for every other Republican on the ballot. And I expect that there are others like me who aren’t looking to leave the party.”

He also separated his group from the Lincoln Project, which is made up of “Never Trump” Republicans.

One of the group’s founding members is George Conway, the husband of White House counselor to the president, Kellyanne Conway.

While the Lincoln Project focuses on TV advertising against Trump, Borges said they will concentrate on the ballot box.

“We’re going to dig into the data and find out where these voters are and try to help turn them out,” he said.
