#NYC shootings leave 1 dead, 1 wounded overnight

Two people were shot — one fatally — in separate incidents in Brooklyn overnight, police said.

A woman was found dead with severe head trauma in the lobby of a Williamsburg building around 10 p.m. Friday, police said.

The victim, who was in her 40s, was discovered by cops responding to a 911 call who found her at the Porter Avenue building. On Saturday, police said they now believed the woman had been shot.

“The circumstances are unclear at this point,” an NYPD spokeswoman said.

About two hours later, a 22-year-old man was shot in the neck on the 1900 block of Pacific Street near Atlantic Avenue in Weeksville following an argument with another man, cops said.

The man was transported to Interfaith Hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the neck.

The victim was taken to Interfaith Medical Center in stable condition, police said Saturday. Authorities did knot know what sparked the dispute, but described the assailant as wearing his hair in braids and clad in a gray jumpsuit and yellow hat.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.

The Gotham gunplay comes a day after seven people were shot — one fatally — in separate incidents across New York City Thursday night.
