A 40-year-old man was fatally shot on a Brooklyn street Friday night, police said.

The victim was shot in the head near the intersection of Bedford Avenue and Albemarle Road in Flatbush at about 10:40 p.m., according to the NYPD.

He was taken by EMS to a local hospital and pronounced dead, authorities said.

A firearm was recovered at the scene, police said.

It wasn’t immediately clear what sparked the deadly violence and no arrests were made as of early Saturday.
