#Now DLSS 2.0 and Reflex support for Unreal Engine 4

Leading GPU maker Nvidia has introduced DLSS feature for the latest version of Unreal Engine 4.26 via a plugin.

DLSS also known as Deep Learning Super Sampling Technology allows rigs with RTX GPUs to boost FPS while enhancing visual fidelity by using Tensor Cores which are specialised AI processors that help in the acceleration of calculations, allowing algorithms to run in real-time.

The AI is trained on Nvidia DXG-powered super computers using a deep neural network technology — Neural Graphics Framework.

For the older version of DLSS, the AI had to be trained separately for every different game. DLSS 2.0 is better and uses ‘non-game-specific content’ for delivering a generalised network, thereby doing away with the hassle of training the AI individually for every new game.

Nvidia has also released a brand new SDK allows game developers to include in-game systems to reduce system latency by providing better responsiveness and precision. This is done by reducing render queues by syncing CPU and GPU, reducing back pressure on the CPU and allowing faster mouse click sampling. The Reflex SDK also provides metrics to display game and render latency.

So far, Nvidia Reflex has been accepted by seven of top ten competitive games, namely: Call of Duty: Warzone, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Valorant, Fortnite, Apex Legends, Overwatch and Rainbow Six: Siege.
