#Woman fatally shot in Brooklyn drive-by shooting

A 32-year-old woman attending an outdoor gathering in Brooklyn was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting on Monday night, police said.

The victim was with a crowd of people outside 1769 Park Pl. in Weeksville when she was shot in the head by a suspected shooter inside a white sedan, police and sources said.

The woman was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, authorities said.

The driver fled the scene and remained at large early Tuesday morning.

It was not immediately clear what led to the shooting, or if the woman was the intended target.

Nobody else was injured in the shooting.
