#Noah Syndergaard ready to ‘win’ after drastic Mets changes

The Steve Cohen era is officially underway and the new Mets owner already has Thor ready to roll.

After Cohen on Friday closed the $2.4 billion deal with the Mets, which was promptly followed by an announcement that general manager Brodie Van Wagenen and his top lieutenants were “leaving” the organization, Noah Syndergaard tweeted out a message of support.

“Let’s win this thing,” read a GIF of Bobby Axelrod tweeted by Syndergaard, referencing the character based on Cohen in the Showtime series “Billions.”

“To clarify: this is Mets winning related tweet,” Syndergaard followed up in a second tweet, likely to avoid fans confusing his message with the presidential election. “I approved this message.”

The right-handed pitcher, who is recovering from Tommy John surgery, last week made his feelings known about the sale and departure of the Wilpons.

“All I plead is that the new owner treats players and personnel in the organization like people and less like expendable commodities,” Syndergaard told The Post’s Mike Puma. “That being said, I couldn’t be more excited having the real life Bobby Axelrod leading the charge.”

Cohen has already appointed a new team president in Sandy Alderson, who traded for Syndergaard in 2012 in one of the better moves of his past tenure as Mets GM.

Cohen and Alderson now enter a huge offseason in which the Mets and their suddenly deep pockets could be in play for some of the top free agents on the market.

They could have a decision to make on Syndergaard in the not-too-distant future as he is only under contract through 2021. The 28-year-old is hoping to return to the mound at some point next season once he is fully recovered from Tommy John surgery, which he underwent in March. The typical recovery for a pitcher takes 12-15 months.
