#The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord’s Army was a Human Anime Adds 3 More Cast Members

Happinet has revealed the addition of three new voice cast members joining the upcoming The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord’s Army was a Human TV anime series. The series will premiere in Japan sometime in July 2024.

The new cast members include Manatsu Murakami as Alistair, Yumi Uchiyama as Fiorentina, Choo as Romberg. They join a main cast that is headlined by:

• Hina Tachibana as Satie
• Shizuka Ito as Cefiro
• Manaka Iwami as Dairokuten Demon Lord
• Azumi Waki as Lilith
• Kentaro Tone as Jiron

Norihiko Nagahama (I’ve Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills) is directing the anime, with Toko Machida (I’ve Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related) as series screenwriter, Masami Sueoka (I’ve Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills) as character designer, and KOHTA YAMAMOTO (Chained Soldier, Attack on Titan Final Season co-composer) as music composer. Studio A-CAT is in charge of the animation production.

The original light novels are written by Ryosuke Hata and illustrated by KUMA and were published by Futabasha from September 30, 2016 to April 27, 2018. A total of five volumes were released during its publication under the Monster Bunko label. It is based on the web novel series that was first released on Shosetsuka ni Naro on February 22, 2016.

A manga adaptation by Anajiro was first serialized on Futabasha’s Gaugau Monster website on July 12, 2019. Ten tankobon volumes have been released as of January 2024. Happinet has stated that the anime adaptation will be based on the manga series of the original light novel series.

Happinet describes the synopsis of The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord’s Army was a Human:

Ike is known as “the strongest magician in the demon king’s army” and is single-handedly conquering fortresses. The way he mows down the enemies with his immense magic truly makes him a “monster” feared by both allies and foes alike. However, he has a secret that he cannot tell other demons. “I’m actually human.”
