#Nine shot, three fatally, in latest NYC gun violence: cops

Nine people were shot — three fatally — across the city Wednesday and Thursday, according to police.

Most recently, a 38-year-old man was shot in the right leg and left ankle, and a 47-year-old man blasted in the butt at Patchen Avenue and Van Buren Street in Bushwick around 1 a.m. Thursday, cops said.

They had gotten into a dispute with three men wearing hoodies who took off, authorities said. Both victims were taken to the Kings County Hospital Center, where they are listed in stable condition.

A third person who was somehow involved in the beef walked into Woodhull Medical Center with a stab wound to his left leg, according to police sources.

Just before 10 p.m. Wednesday, a 42-year-old woman was struck in the head by a gunman who intended to shoot her husband during a parking dispute on Atkins Avenue near Sutter Avenue in Cypress Hills, according to cops and police sources.

The 43-year-old shooter bolted into a nearby building where he barricaded himself, according to the sources — prompting a response from the NYPD’s Emergency Services Unit, joined by a dog-like robot named Spot developed by Boston Dynamics, photos from the scene show.

Police sources say that he was ultimately taken into custody — but police officials could not confirm any arrests Thursday morning.

The victim was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.

Earlier in the evening, around 6:10 p.m., an 18-year-old man was shot in the chest during a dispute inside the Rayen Lite Deli on New Lots Avenue near Alabama Avenue in the New Lots section of Brooklyn, cops said.

He was taken to Brookdale University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

His name was not released pending notification, and no one has been arrested.

Around 2:30 p.m., a 17-year-old boy, Derek Tiucios, was blasted in the chest during an attempted robbery on East 26th Street near Newkirk Avenue in Flatbush, according to cops and police sources.

Tiucios was with two friends when a stranger approached him and demanded property, the sources said. During the ensuing struggle, the suspect allegedly fired a gun four times, striking Tiucios in the left cheek and chest.

One of his friends, 16, was shot in the left hand, according to the sources.

Both were taken to the Kings County Hospital Center, where Tiucios succumbed to his injuries and the other teen is listed in stable condition. No arrests have been made.

Wednesday’s first homicide came just after midnight when Marvin Carroway, 34, was blasted in the head in the lobby of his own building, on the grounds of NYCHA’s Hughes Houses on Sutter Avenue near Mother Gaston Boulevard in Brownsville.

On Wednesday alone, seven people were shot in six incidents, according to preliminary numbers released by the NYPD.

Four people were shot in as many incidents on that day last year, which was a Monday.

The incidents come as the city continues to grapple with a surge in gun violence.
