Nina Hagen—the German punk and new wave icon—has shared a new song with funk legend George Clinton. It’s called “Unity.” The cosmic dub track was created following the killing of George Floyd, and acts as Hagen’s homage to the Black Lives Matter movement. Listen to “Unity” below.
Hagen has also announced that she will issue a new album next year via Groenland Records. Hagen’s most recent studio LP Volksbeat arrived back in 2011.
In 2018, George Clinton joined forces with Parliament to release Medicaid Fraud Dogg—his first album with the funk pioneers in 38 years.
