New World players from around the world have logged in to the game; topping the charts by recording over 500,000 concurrent players, and that too within the first few hours of its release!
- This is a new record, breaking the previous one held by Valheim that was released earlier this year, recording an all-time peak of 502,387. The all-time peak of the New World stands at 707,230 as of now.
- This is not the only amazing thing about it. Over 947,000 viewers on Twitch were watching New World streams. This can also be due to the server stress that the game might be facing on its launch day, making people choose to watch the game rather than face difficulties trying to play right now.
The analyst Simon Carless also noted that over 400,00 players are in line waiting to log into the EU servers of the game! This number does not include the players who may be trying to jump regional servers to log in!

Long Queues
In response to the massive welcome the game has received, the New World official Twitter account thanked the players for the support they have provided, and added that they are looking to address the queue times by standing up additional servers and that their aim to “get everyone logging in and playing quickly.” Players will also be able to relocate their characters to any server of their own choice for free for the next two weeks.
