The ongoing Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc has received a new key visual, which features Tanjiro and Tengen Uzui facing off against Upper Six demons Daki and Gyutaro.

The show premiered on December 5 and is streamed via Crunchyroll, Funimation, and iQIYI. It takes place after the events of Demon Slayer – Kimetsu No Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train, which received a TV broadcast version that premiered in October.

The returning staff includes Haruo Sotozaki as director, Akira Matsushima as character designer and chief animation director, Yuuko Oumae as color designer, Yuuichi Terao as photography director, Kazuki Nishiwaki as 3D director, Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina as music composers, and Miyuki Satou, Youko Kajiyama, and Mika Kikuchi are participating as sub character designers and character designers. Ufotable is the animation production studio and is also credited with script production.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- first aired in 2019 with 26 episodes, with Mugen Train releasing in 2020. Both are based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, which was first serialized in 2016 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and ended with 211 chapters in 2020 with a total of 23 tankoubon volumes published.

It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself. Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a “demon slayer” so that he can turn his sister back into a human, and kill the demon that massacred his family.
