She came in like a wrecking ball with her new song on Instagram.

Miley Cyrus released a teaser Wednesday for her forthcoming track “Midnight Sky” by posting it on Instagram using a nifty feature from the app’s new video platform, Reels.

In a clip showcasing the new tune, the genre-bending singer poses cooly in sunglasses, layered necklaces and a white tank top in front of a neon sign reading “disco” while the groovy notes play in the background. Her jewelry and shades glisten with digitally edited sparkles as she moves through the pink light in the video captioned, “Tease.”

In a separate post, Cyrus directly called out the new feature, writing: “MIDNIGHT SKY – teaser available on Instagram Reels.”

The 27-year-old — who is set to release a new album called “She Is Miley Cyrus” — drummed up excitement about the app’s latest TikTok-like feature, and Reels was trending on Twitter shortly after. Cyrus has yet to announce an official release date for her seventh album.

Instagram announced the release of Reels Wednesday in 50 different countries and will allow users to record, edit and share 15-second videos.

Launched as a clear head-to-head competitor with the hugely popular app TikTok, Reels lets users create the same exact kinds of videos, with access to editing and creative tools, that’s set to trending music.

And instead of simply publishing the clips on your personal page, users can share the 15-second videos to a larger audience via a special space on the “Explore” page.

“Reels in Explore offers anyone the chance to become a creator on Instagram and reach new audiences on a global stage,” Facebook, which owns Instagram, said in a press release.

In order to access the new feature, users must select Reels at the bottom of the Instagram camera where they can search for a song in the Instagram library, record a video, use AR effects, select a timer for hands-free recording and change the speed.

But despite the hype, social-media users don’t seem too excited.

“So first instagram stole ‘stories’ from snapchat now ‘reels’ from tiktok. Instagram said y’all not gonna forget [about] me,” wrote one Twitter critic, referring to how similar Instagram Stories are to Snapchat.

Another echoed the sentiment.

“Does Instagram think it’s being slick releasing this Reel’s feature like it isn’t exactly like TikTok?” asked another Twitter user.

Some are digging it so far, though.

“I see you Instagram! You got the new fonts & now this Reel,” a Twitter fan wrote, with clapping hand emojis.

Celebrities are also curious about the new function already. Singer Selena Gomez gave it a spin in a video where she shows viewers the contents of her fridge.

“This is my refrigerator/freezer situation,” she says, pulling open the doors. “Show you the difference there. This might be where I’m at most the time,” she adds pointing to the ice cream in the freezer.
