#New Chogokin Figure Brings Yokohama’s Walking Gundam to You

GUNDAM FACTORY Yokohama stands out over Yamashita Pier thanks to its 1:1-scale walking robot, a massive mobile recreation of the franchise’s famous RX-78 model. Thanks to a collaboration with Chogokin, you can bring a scale version of the real-world robot — dubbed the RX-78 F00 — home.

The scale figure stands 187mm tall and features light-up head, eye, and chest duct pieces. It’s highly detailed and fully posable, and comes with accessories including extra hands, Beam Saber, Hyper Bazooka, shield, and translucent effects pieces. All of these can be stored on the F00’s display stand, also included:

The fully-painted figure is diecast — as is standard for the Chogokin line, which takes its name from Mazinger Z‘s fictional “Superalloy” — with ABS and PVC parts.

Pre-orders are now open for the figure, which will run you 22,000 yen (about $200). Figures will ship out starting next month, July 2021.
