“New Bibliophile Princess Trailer Reveals October 6 Premiere Date”

The Bibliophile Princess anime adaptation has received a main trailer, which previews the premise, main and supporting cast, and opening song “Prologue” by Yuka Iguchi. An October 6 Japanese premiere date was also revealed.

More cast members were announced as well. Ryouhei Azakami is playing Irvin Olanza, while Nobunaga Shimazaki  and Taku Yashiro are playing Alfred Bernstein and Jean respectively.

Bibliophile Princess is based on the fantasy romance light novels written by Yui and illustrated by Satsuki Shiina. The light novel series, which is published under Ichijinsha’s Iris Neo, label began in 2016 and will release its seventh volume on October 4, 2022. A manga adaptation by Yui Kikuta began in 2019.

J-Novel Club, which publishes both the light novels and manga in English, describes the light novels as:

When book-loving Lady Elianna spots Prince Christopher—her betrothed in name only—consorting with another noble lady, she realizes the recent rumors must be true. The prince has someone he truly loves, which means the annulment of their engagement is both inevitable and fast-approaching. What she doesn’t realize is that this is merely a surface ripple—one of many where the truth runs deep, in a conspiracy surpassing her imagination!
