The city of Henderson, Nevada, has reportedly fined a company $3,000 for hosting a 5,600-person indoor rally for President Trump.

Xtreme Manufacturing was slapped with the fines over six violations pertaining to the state’s coronavirus regulations, which currently bar all gatherings above 50 people, the local Fox affiliate reported. The city had warned of impending penalties ahead of the president’s rally held on Sept. 13.

“The City of Henderson advised Xtreme Manufacturing that an event planned for Sept. 13 at their facility must comply with the governor’s COVID-19 emergency directives to not gather in groups larger than 50 people, require the use of face coverings and practice social distancing,” the city said in a statement to the station.

“During the event, a compliance officer observed six violations of the directives and the City’s Business Operations Division has issued a Business License Notice of Violation to Xtreme Manufacturing and assessed a penalty of $3,000.”

Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak at the time said Trump was being “reckless and selfish” to stage the event and put people at risk to the virus.

“This is an insult to every Nevadan who has followed the directives, made sacrifices, and put their neighbors before themselves. It’s also a direct threat to all of the recent progress we’ve made, and could potentially set us back,” Sisolak tweeted Sunday night.

Trump and Xtreme Manufacturing’s owner, Trump supporter Don Ahern, have argued that the rally is an exercise of First Amendment rights to free speech and assembly. Ahern is suing the state over its COVID-19 restrictions, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

“I believe it is my patriotic duty to do what is right for our country and what is right is supporting President Donald J. Trump,” Ahern said at a news conference after the rally, according to the paper.
