“#NYPD searching for trio of suspects in series of Queens robberies”
Cops say this teen trio is trouble.
The NYPD is looking to nab three male suspects wanted in a series of Queens robberies in Kissena Corridor Park that started earlier this month.
The robbers struck four times in the spacious Flushing park since Jan. 8, punching at least two of their victims in the face, police said. In one of the episodes, the assailants used a debit card stolen from a victim at a pizzeria, cops said.
The spree started near Oak Avenue and Colden Street, when one of the suspects ran up to a 21-year-old woman and snatched the phone from her hand, police said, before running out of the park and into a gold colored Toyota Camry that sped off, police said.
Three days later, on Jan. 11, shortly before 6 p.m. inside the park near 56 Road and 146th Street, two individuals approached a 58-year-old man and demanded money before they punched him in the face, cops said. The robbers took the victim’s wallet containing $70 cash and a gift card and ran off, authorities said.
Police said the trio struck again Jan. 15 in the same part of the park, this time punching a 59-year-old man in the face and taking his wallet containing $150. They are also accused of assaulting an 18-year-old riding his bike, stealing his wallet and using his debit card at Domenick’s Pizza on Sutphin Boulevard in Jamaica, cops said.
The teen suspects are between 16 and 19-years-old. One was last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweater with white and red writing on the front, blue jeans and white sneakers.
Another was last spotted wearing a pink hooded sweater, a black jacket, black pants and black sneakers.
A third suspect was last seen wearing a blue “bubble” coat, black pants and white sneakers, police said.
Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
