The BOOM! Studios’ BRZRKR panel at San Diego Comic-Con revealed that the live-action movie’s previously announced anime spin-off will be produced by Production I.G (via IGN).

The panel also revealed that there will be two seasons of the anime.

The BRZRKR anime is set to premiere on Netflix after the release of the live-action movie (also produced by Netflix). They are based on the comic book created and co-written by Keanu Reeves. The John Wick/Matrix actor is starring in both shows and is producing the live-action movie.

Netflix describes the series as:

A brutally epic saga about an immortal warrior’s 80,000 year fight through the ages. The man known only as “B” is half-mortal and half-god, , cursed and compelled to violence… even at the sacrifice of his sanity. But after wandering the earth for centuries, B may have finally found a refuge – working for the U.S. government to fight the battles too violent and too dangerous for anyone else. In exchange, B will be granted the one thing he desires – the truth about his endless blood-soaked existence…and how to end it.

The first volume of BRZRKR was published in 2021, while the ninth volume was released last month. The limited series will have 12 volumes in total. Matt Kindt co-wrote the series with Reeves while Ron Garney provided the art.
