A Washington Nationals employee was fired after he allegedly threw two cups of hot coffee at a female convenience-store worker.

Jahziel Morel, who worked as an administrator for the team’s Dominican Republic academy, was seen on a video posted to Twitter filling up a pair of cups of coffee, getting into an argument with the cashier and then throwing the coffee at her. His lawyer, Rafael Ariza, said his client will turn himself into police on Monday.

“The Washington Nationals learned of this horrific incident earlier today and immediately terminated the employee,” Nationals president and general manager Mike Rizzo told ESPN on Saturday. “We do not tolerate this type of behavior in our organization.”

The academy has been a productive source of talent for the defending World Series champions, producing the likes of young stars Juan Soto, outfielder Victor Robles and several others. Morel joined the team in 2017 as a video intern and was slowly working his way up. Now, however, he’s no longer part of the organization.
