#Masaki Nakao: “I Hope I Can Bring A New Breeze” to New Naruto Stage Play

The official website for “Live Spectacle NARUTO – Uzumaki Naruto Monogatari (The Story of Naruto Uzumaki) -,” the forthcoming new stage play inspired by Masashi Kishimoto’s internationally popular action manga, has posted solo visuals of all of its 22 cast members, including 24-year-old Masaki Nakao (Yamato Kazakiri / Zyuoh Eagle in Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger) who is newly cast as the protagonist Naruto Uzumaki. He replaced Koudai Matsuoka, who had played Naruto since the first show in March 2015.

In his message video, Nakao says, “I’m very happy to play the role of Naruto in this series that I’ve been watching since I was a child. This stage has a long history, but this is my first time participating, so I hope I can bring a new breeze and create a good reaction to this stage. ‘Live Spectacle Naruto’ will be performed in Tokyo and Osaka starting in December. I’m looking forward to seeing you all at the theater. Please look forward to it!”

Ryuji Sato, who reprises his role as Sasuke Uchiha, says in his message video, “It finally comes! This is my favorite visual in Sasuke’s history. There are many favorite scenes and many favorite actions, but I like his outfit and hairstyle during this period, so I’m really looking forward to it. Anyway, Sasuke is very fast in action and movement. I hope that I can deliver them with even more speed than the previous plays, so that you can understand how scary Sasuke is.”
