N.W.A legend MC Ren has announced the release date for his forthcoming EP Osiris. Ren made the reveal on Sunday (May 22) with a tweet that read, “This shit will not disappoint. June 3rd the Saga continues. Osiris Osiris Osiris.” He followed up with, “Spread the word for June 3rd, very very soon. New EP ‘Osiris.’”

Boasting features from Kurupt, Da Lynch Mob’s J-Dee, Above The Law MC Cold 187um, Ras Kass and Compton’s Most Wanted OG Tha Chill. Tha Chill also produced the eight-track project in its entirety, pulling double duty as both an MC on the album and beat maestro.

“Osiris is an instant classic,” Tha Chill tells HipHopDX. “It’s for the real, raw fans that miss that authentic West Coast but new and fresh at the same time. Producing it was basically two friends from over 20 years getting together to give our Compton’s Most Wanted and N.W.A fans a breath of fresh air from all the turn up, glitz and glamour.

“It’s just raw, uncut unapologetic Compton Hip Hop from two hard muthafuckas.”
