#Aimer’s Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc Theme Song CD Becomes No.1 on Japan’s Weekly Charts

According to the latest Oricon report, Japanese female singer Aimer‘s double A-side 20th single “Zankyo Sanka / Asa ga Kuru,” which was released in Japan on January 12, sold 44,000 units in its first week to become the top-selling CD of the week. The former is now featured as the OP theme for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc, while the latter as the ED theme. The single also dominated the daily single charts for three consecutive days since its release.

This is her second No.1 single following her 16th single “I beg you / Hanabira no March / Sailing” released in January 2019. The first week sales also surpassed her 16th single’s 31,000 units to record the highest in her career. Also, this is the first time in 14 months that a female solo artist has reached No.1 in the weekly charts since LiSA’s “Homura” (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train theme song) in November 2020.
