Anime voice actress Nanaka Suwa has posted a 90-second music video for her first solo single song “Cobalt no Kodou” (Cobalt’s Heartbeat), the OP theme for the forthcoming TV anime Battle Athletes Victory ReSTART!.

Suwa is best known for her role as Kanan Matsuura in the Love Live! Sunshine!! franchise and has also performed as a member of the anime’s nine-member voice actress unit Aqours. While working as a member of the very successful unit, she made her solo singer debut from Nippon Columbia with her first full album “So Sweet Dolce” on April 15, 2020, then released her first mini-album “Color me PURPLE” on November 4 of the same year.

As her first solo single and anime theme song work, “Cobalt no Kodou” is set to be released in Japan on April 21, 2021. In the music video, she shows off her cute dance performance with cobalt-colored flags. She says in a video comment posted on Twitter, “I’m cheering for you in various situations, so I hope that my energy reaches all of my fans.”
