#My Hero Academia Season 5 Release Date Set For March 27 on Crunchyroll, Funimation

Crunchyroll and Funimation announced that My Hero Academia Season 5 will begin streaming on Saturday, March 27. 

The show will be available on Crunchyroll in the United States, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean

Funimation will stream the series in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Scandinavia, Brazil, and Mexico.

The series will also be available on AnimeLab in Australia and New Zealand, and on Wakanim in Scandinavia. 

Funimation will be revealing details on the SimulDub after the Japanese broadcast this Saturday.

My Hero Academia Season 5 will cover the “Joint Training” arc. Bones is in charge of the animation production. 

Season 4 chief director Kenji Nagasaki, director Masahiro Mukai, series composer Yousuke Kuroda, character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi, art directors Shigemi Ikeda and Yukiko Maruyama, photography director Takashi Sawa, and music composer Yuuki Hayashi are reprising their roles for the fifth season. Meanwhile, Season 4 assistant character designer Hitomi Odashima is now credited as character designer alongside Umakoshi.

My Hero Academia is based on the manga by Kōhei Horikoshi. The anime’s first season originally premiered in April 2016, while the fourth and most recent season premiered in October 2019.
